Lazy Sunday morning

I have had an unexpected yet very enjoyable Sunday morning. Maddie woke up this morning saying that she didn't feel that great, and the other 3 kids were snoozing soundly. These two things changed my plans for us to go to church. Patrick needed to be at church because he is apart of the prayer team this morning, so he went on without us. I was able to spend some time exercising, reading, praying, drinking some coffee slowly, hugging the kids as they woke up. I picked up a book over December that I've been studying, and it had this wonderful idea of rewriting the verses in 2Corinthians 12:9-10 to personalize them. I love these verses anyways, but the idea of inserting my own name and circumstances into them was so enlightening.

"But God said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, (name), for My power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses (list weaknesses), so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why for Christ's sake I delight in weakness (my weakness), in insults (when I've been insulted), in hardships (identify hardships) in persecutions (where I am being persecuted) in difficulties (list any difficulties I am having). For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Maybe this will strike a chord with you as it did with me. I hope that you have a wonderful Sunday.
