My boy

Michael LOVED the tractors that were at the farm. There were several old tractors sitting around, and then there was a newer one. Every time he would discover one of them, he would run back to me and shout - "Mama! There's 'nother one!"

Something from the farm

Yesterday the big girls didn't have school. It was a beautiful fall day. They both were able to play with their friends Cassidy and McKenna most of the day. Meredith had school, which Marky and Maddie were thrilled about because they finally got to see her classroom. Meredith was a VERY cute and enthusiastic tour guide as she showed them around her class and introduced them to her teacher. After we picked Meredith up, we went to a place down the road from us called "Something from the farm". It is a little hobby farm that some folks have, and they have a small amount of fresh produce and in the fall they have pumpkins and a pretty big corn maze. I love going there to get veggies that Patrick doesn't grow for us (beets!!) and yesterday I wanted to get some fresh flowers. They have this enormous Zinnia garden and for pennies you can go in a cut your own flowers. I was in HEAVEN!!! The kids walked around the place and fed chickens, climbed a tree, sat on a tractor, helped me pick flowers, Marky took pictures. It was such a splendid afternoon outing. Everyone got a snack of an apple that had just been picked off of the trees on the property. They were SO yummy. Today I am going to cook my beets that I bought. I am sure that they will be yummy too.
