The ground is covered in snow tonight. It's been snowing for about 18 hours and it is beautiful and white and SO COLD! The kids were in a festive mood tonight and wanted to watch a Christmas movie. They chose "Frosty the snowman".

Singing today
The choir that the girls are a part of sang for church today. Marky had a speaking part, Maddie was in the choir and Meredith had a solo. The song was called "Happy Birthday Jesus". It was so beautiful for me to hear them sing "Jesus, I love you" and know that they really mean it! It was the most precious thing ever. I didn't get any pictures of them singing - I can't believe it! Patrick had the video camera and between that and taking care of Michael, we had our hands full. We've already watched the video; it blessed me again. What a special Sunday morning it was. I am one proud mama!

New necklace
One night when I was sleeping, this idea came to me to make this lanyard necklace. I wasn't sure how it was all going to come together, but I am SO happy about how it turned out!! I have a sweater dress that needs something extra to make it cute and this is what I came up with. The flower is knit and felted, the chain is an i-cord that I knit out of a metallic yarn, and then I beaded both the cord and the flower. Yes, it will be a little different, but I think it turned out even better than my dream!! I can't wait to wear it!
