Today, we went on a hike and had a picnic in Lory State Park. We thought there was going to be some water there, but there was just a little trickle. The kids still had fun playing in the leaves and rocks. It has been a really nice fall day.

Kindness Matters
I am smelling the scent of a Pumpkin Candle while listening to a new Christmas Cd. These were both gifts given to me this weekend by people who really know that kindness matters.
Mom and Lara - Your gifts lifted my spirits and my mood and reminded me that I am not alone in the world. Thank you for taking time out to show kindness to me. It mattered so much to me today. Thank you for loving me.
Lisa - Your advice about focusing on the things I have instead of what I don't have helped me today as well.
I am so blessed and need to remember more often how blessed. These reminders I received meant the world to me.

Happy Halloween!!
We had a great Halloween celebration. Marky and Maddie had their parade at school on Thursday because there wasn't any school on Friday. Marky was a cute bunny and Maddie was Hannah Montana. It's always fun to see all of the kids and teachers dressed up. They both had parties hosted by very creative moms. Meredith had school on Friday and after MUCH deliberation decided that she was going to be Belle. It was a tough decision you know... dress up is our life. By Wednesday afternoon she had announced that the final costume choice was Tinkerbell. Well, that changed on Thursday when she wore her Belle costume over to see Marky and Maddie at school. Then by Friday she stuck with her choice of Belle. Michael was SpiderMan. By Friday evening, he should have been Grumpy, because that was exactly what he was!
