Spring cleaning in December

Yesterday, Patrick and I cleaned like crazy people. It was so nice to have his help. Actually "nice" doesn't adequately describe having his help. It was AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, OUTSTANDING to have his help. He was a cleaning guru. Meredith said to me last night, "You and Daddy were so busy today". Yes we were... we were all over busy. Patrick even went to the grocery store for me! The house has never looked cleaner, and the cupboards and fridge have never been more stocked up. I was exhausted when I finally laid down last night. We are ready for company and for celebrating Christmas with our families. I had to take a couple of pictures of my full fridge and cupboards because they have never looked this way!!!

Poetry reading

On Friday, Marky's class had a poetry recitation. This was in place of a Christmas party for their class. Each of the kids read 2 poems that they wrote, and then introduced the classmate sitting next to them with a poem that the student had written about themselves. It was the cutest thing ever. Marky wrote 2 poems - one was a poem to called "Ode to Mother" (ME!!!) and then a poem called "Pink" where she describes the color pink . Her poem that she wrote about herself was the most darling thing ever. I can't wait until she brings her poems home and I can read them again. I was so proud of her. Their must have been 50 parents in the room, plus all of her classmates. They read their poems into a microphone. Her reading was beautiful and she was so poised. She amazed me!!!

Proof

Here is the proof of Michael's haircut. He looks so much more like a little boy now rather than a baby. Sob Sob... Smile Smile. It's hard to believe that he is going to be 3 in a week.
